Welcome to IceFishingPA.com, the website built to improve your on-ice experience. My name is Byron Eckardt, and my reason for developing this site is simply to provide you with useful and helpful information about Ice Fishing in Pennsylvania.

It's no wonder that ice fishing is the fastest growing outdoor winter activity in Pennsylvania. Recent breakthroughs in clothes, shelters, heaters, tackle and electronics have made spending a day on the ice downright enjoyable.
Even as recently as five years ago, icefishing was, for the most part, a novelty in PA. Yes, some of us were out there, but not near the numbers we now have. Icefishing is a booming sport, as should be, why sit at home watching TV, when some of the largest fish of the year are caught through the ice? A couple ice caught state records that come to mind include Perch, Northern Pike and Pickeral, perhaps more?

The days of sitting on a bucket, staring at a hole in the ice, with frozen snot hanging on the end of your nose are over. Todays angler is highly mobile, efficient, warm, and most importantly catches more fish than ever. Continued at bottom of page.
